As someone who likes to be active, I signed up for the local gym. I have to give them a shoutout because, for a reasonable price, I get unlimited access to the gym and the pool, and I can sign up for various classes. However, I´m not exactly a gym professional. I´ve only gone a few times with my younger brother, who showed me how to work out on the machines, but I don´t have him with me here now, do I? I had to get a very brief introduction done by one of the gym workers, who assumed I was not as inexperienced as I said, which was a wrong assumption because I was. Basically, both of my gym visits consisted of me sitting next to the different machines and looking up tutorials on how to work out with them.
On the second visit, I was more confident, so I entered the infamous Macho Corner. The Queen Elizabeth II Leisure Centre has a specific alley where all the weights are. I wanted to go on a bench press, so I had to walk throughout the whole length of the Machor Corner. Let me say that despite being broad, tall and short-haired, I felt immensely small and weak. I shivered down my spine when, at one moment, I shared a small space with four strange guys who were breathing loudly and checking out their muscles in the mirror after every lift. The air was infused with testosterone and sweat. Oh no, I thought, I unwillingly disrupted the nest of gym bros! I spun on the spot and left. There are some lands forbidden to the average human eye...
