How did I end up in Leicester?

First and foremost, I´m not an adventurous person. I just happened to be born into a family that can´t find happiness in staying at home and enjoying the beauty of indoor activities. To be honest, I do like to spend time in nature, I like exploring, and I don´t mind trying new things. But living in a foreign country? It's not exactly on my bucket list.

But everybody kept saying what advantages you can get from experiencing it, so I began to think about it. I´ve always loved aesthetic British movies, black tea with milk, rainy autumn, Jude Law, independence, the British accent, One Direction, and butter biscuits. Why not have a four-month fantasy, including all of the above? Well, so far, I have not met Jude Law or One Direction, but I can confirm that it´s definitely a positive experience.

My university allows me to study abroad, and if you don´t mind a lot of paperwork, then it´s the best you can do. Leicester offered me the opportunity to study journalism with a B2 English-level certificate, so I decided to go for it. To be honest, it wasn´t my first choice, but the other British universities have high requirements, so Leicester was my only choice.

I don´t regret it for a second.
