As we ran and rhymed

You were a nice experience. You were everything.

These two sentences, said by two different people, were trending on TikTok some while ago. They hide so much and make you think about how relationships are viewed.

I was looking out a tram window and passed a place I visited two years ago. It was the beginning of the summer, and we had a celebratory meeting with my fellow chess instructors. I barely knew anyone, but I sat with a young filmography student.

We chatted about Percy Jackson, the troubles his trans sibling was facing, and more. Since we lived near each other, around 1 AM, we walked out of the pub and went home. We were both tipsy, and decided to try to run a fast as we can. We were racing, and when we were out of breath, we started to talk in rhymes.

Before we reached the street where we parted, we made a 10-minute-long poem. The moment was so unique, original, and unrepeatable that I found it strange that our ways would part and never cross again. Yet, I had no idea how to continue. It felt like something born and about to die that night. So I said goodbye and went home.

It made me think that a filmography student may have many poetry-making drunk nights, but it was my first and so far only. It´s not something I thought about often; honestly, I didn´t think about it until today´s tram ride. Nevertheless, I thought about it,

Some people are so significant to others and form memories treasured for life, yet others forget it. Every time you feel insignificant, think about how many lives you influenced without knowing it and that, however small it seemed, someone´s face lights up when it crosses his mind.
