All hail to the Tesco scones

It´s commonly known you can´t buy happiness with money. Well, in my opinion, it´s a lie because happiness costs precisely two pounds - the cost of the Tesco Finest All Butter Scones 4 Pack, what a coincidence! Let me tell you, British Tesco is the land of your dreams and your wildest imaginations. Grab yourself a scone and listen.
When you enter the big Tesco, which is about five minutes from the campus centre and about ten minutes from my accommodation, you must wonder. The fruits and vegetables section is wide and has nothing to hide (sorry, I got a bit carried away). There´s this section with exotic fruit containing food with names that seem made up. Maybe it´s just my incomplete education, but I swear, I´ve never heard of them. Since we´re talking about the British establishment, it´s possible they just colonised it from some faraway lands. I mean, why do they put the British flag on everything? My fridge looks like a fan club of Great Britain. But moving on to the cheese section!
This part I dedicate to my curly cheese-hater friend, who has never been seen in that aisle before and, therefore, is missing all the wonderland. A beautiful selection of cheeses with the most peculiar names and flavours will greet your eyes. Well, it´s a bit tough to find Italian cheeses there because the British are taking up all the glory, but I don´t mind.
Oh, and don´t get me STARTED on the sweets section! I shall greatly miss digestives covered in dark chocolate, Maltesers for a reasonable price, Terry´s oranges, and Cadbury. It´s an aisle of colours. Brits are kind of funny; they have this major chips section with packs the size of a dead body (not that I know what that looks like...). No, seriously, you could hide a body in that bag (not that I tried).
And, of course, all hail to the scones and Tesco Clubcard for bringing happiness and financial relief into my life!
Love,
Book and Tea Girl
